About

Purpose

Croquet Europe, otherwise known as the European Regional Committee (ERC) has been charged by the World Croquet Federation (WCF) to run croquet championships in Europe. It aims to develop croquet in Europe, ensuring the sport continues to grow and expand by working with the European national bodies to coordinate tournaments and encourage more international play.

Croquet Europe Members

Full Members:

England, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden and Wales

Associate Members:

Czech Republic, Latvia, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland

Recognised Croquet Organisations:

Austria, Belgium, Corfu, Finland and Jersey.

Roberts Stafeckis

Latvia

Term: 01/01/24 - 31/12/27

Roberts plays for the Ikšķile Croquet Club in Riga. He also serves as the president of the Latvian Croquet Association (LCA). When not playing croquet he runs the Latvian Open Innovation Platform.

Andrés Álvarez‑Sala

Spain

Term: 21/02/22 - 31/12/25

Andres is one of the top croquet players in the world and plays for Ontalafia Club de Croquet. He also serves as a member of the Federación Española de Croquet (FEC). When not playing croquet he works as a lawyer for BDO.

Alan Looney

Ireland

Term: 01/01/24 - 31/12/27

Alan plays for Carrickmines Croquet & Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin. He also serves as the honory secretary of the Croquet Association of Ireland (CAI). When not playing croquet Alan runs The National Chemical Co. a chemicals distributor with offices in Ireland, UK & USA.

Duncan Catterall

England

Term: 01/01/24 - 31/12/27

Duncan plays for Dulwich Croquet Club in London. He also serves as the marketing chair for Croquet England (CqE). When not playing croquet he is normally still playing croquet as he runs a croquet events business called Croquet & Cocktails.

Michael Böer

Germany

Term: 01/01/24 - 31/12/27

Michael plays for 1st Croquet Club Suedwest. He also serves as a board member of the German Croquet Association (GCA). When not playing croquet he is taking care of his worldwide business related to electric power generation plants.
